FAQs

gcdesign values transparency and clarity throughout our creative process -
Here’s what you can expect when partnering with us:

Q

What do I need to start a project?

A

If you have a small business and are in need of a creative partner to collaborate with to create a new brand, website or branded assets then you’re ready to start. You can explore our full range of services here.

Q

How long does a design project usually take?

A

Timelines vary depending on the project scope, availability, and if any external resources are needed, such as copy writers, photographers or developers. That being said, we are committed to meeting any deadlines you might have and can provide a full estimated timeline before we get underway.

Q

How do you handle revisions and feedback?

A

Our process is hugely collaborative to ensure that all feedback is clearly discussed and understood before any revisions are made - ensuring the final result reflects the best solution possible.

Q

I'm not based in New Zealand, can I still work with you?

A

Absolutely, gcdesign works with clients from all over the world. We use google.meet for real-time meetings and hold a flexible schedule to accommodate different time zones. If a live meeting isn’t on the cards, we can provide regular updates via email so everyone’s on the same page every step of the way. Our goal is to provide a collaborative, thoughtful, and enjoyable experience.

Q

Will I own the rights to the designs created for my project?

A

Of course! Once the project has been finalised and payment has been made in full the intellectual property of your chosen design is then passed over to you. gcdesign does reserve the right to use any design work created for our portfolio, awards and promotional purposes.

Q

How do you handle project scope changes?

A

Project scopes often change as your project evolves - with additional design assets and elements. These can be simply accommodated either based on an hourly basis or as part of an agreed scope adjustment, depending on the scale of the additions.

Q

Will you look after my website once it’s live?

A

gcdesign is all about partnership - we’re always happy to help either when needed to make updates to copy, structural tweaks and troubleshooting based on an hourly basis or we also offer roll-over assistance to keep your website up to date on a monthly basis.

Q

How does payment work?

A

Before your project gets underway, you will receive a project deposit alongside your contract to lock it in to our workflow. Within your contract will be a clear outline of invoices that will be spread out across the project timeline. The final of which will be supplied alongside project completion.

Being open and honest about budget is important at every level so we also offer more flexible options that may extend past completion of your project so your brand goals aren’t restricted.
